Concord Hospital Health System and North Country Healthcare Partner to Offer Advanced Cardiology Services Closer to Home

Concord Hospital Health System and North Country Healthcare are pleased to announce a new partnership that will offer advanced cardiology services closer to home for residents of the North Country. This relationship not only sustains cardiology care but enhances it, reflecting a shared commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of the region.

North Country Healthcare is a nonprofit affiliation of Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, and Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster.

"This partnership allows us to build upon the strong foundation of cardiology care in the North Country while offering patients access to more advanced treatments and specialized services," said Chief Clinical Officer Matthew Gibb of Concord Hospital Health System. "Our partnership ensures patients can receive comprehensive cardiology care without leaving their community and advanced services closer to home."

Three distinguished cardiology providers will join Concord Hospital Cardiovascular Institute at North Country Healthcare:

    • Daniel van Buren, MD, FACC, a board-certified cardiologist with over 14 years of experience at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, will see patients at Androscoggin Valley Hospital and Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital;
    • Calvin Knowles, PA-C, recently joined Androscoggin Valley Hospital and will also care for patients at this location, as well as Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital;
    • Elizabeth LaPointe, PA-C, a new addition at Weeks Medical Center, will see patients in Lancaster.

Patients of the North Country clinics will continue to receive seamless access to advanced subspecialty care at Concord Hospital Cardiovascular Institute in Concord.
